ABOUT ME:
Hi... My name is Lori and I live in my own little quiet corner in Western Kentucky. Being an agoraphobic, I rarely leave my home so this little blog of mine is a place for me to come and relax and it's my way of staying "connected" to the outside world and YOU.
WHY I STARTED A BLOG:
HILLBILLY RAMBLIN' is a place to post my beginner's photography pics, maybe post a few recipes if I find any that I think hubby needs to try to make (he's the one that does the cooking...yay!!) . I also may post some crafts that I made (or TRIED to make!!) but mostly there'll be a whole lot of " hillbilly ramblin" going on around here.
I LOVE sharing special childhood memories and telling "funny" stories (mostly regarding Hubby's antics). I love to just sit down with my friends and laugh. I hope that part of me is represented in this blog when/if people read it. I want everyone to feel welcomed and "at home" during their visit here at Hillbilly Ramblin'.
I'm 49 years old, born and raised in Kentucky. I'm married to a fine hubby (Tim) who, as I mentioned, just happens to LOVE to cook, which makes me a very happy wife, indeed!
I've been blessed with 2 kids...a son and daughter. The daughter is technically Tim's from his first marriage but I'm still gonna claim her as mine too :)
Both of our kids are grown now and each has given us a darling grandson! I am one PROUD Mammy!
I'm also "mommy" to my 2 silly, crazy, wonderful dogs, Lucy and Bingo ( A.K.A. " the hounds" ).
I love taking photos, of ANYTHING, I don't discriminate. Be it a bug, an old house , a barn, a flower or blade of grass, I'll take a pic of it.
My love for photography, I give credit to one of my best friends, Corinna. Just watching her and seeing the magic that can come alive through a photo just grabbed my heart. I LOVE it and I'm totally HOOKED.
I also get a lot of inspiration from a few photographers who are friends on my FaceBook page. They inspire me and motivate me to get out there and try to be better with my cam.
My other passion...is flowers.
I LOVE flowers! Whether it's roses, Lilies, marigolds, Phlox, I love'em all! I get my love of flowers from Ma, who always had a TONS of hanging baskets hanging from the front porch, not to mention all the flowerbeds and container pots sitting around everywhere.
And here's my mugshots so y'all can get a better idea of who is doing all this "Ramblin' " .
I appreciate each and every one of you that has stopped by and visited my blog and hope that you make it back again to visit with me! ღღ
